Ragi idiyappam

Here is an another healthy breakfast you try at home. This is very simple and easy to prepare.


  • Ragi flour(கேழ்வரகு) – 2 cup
  • Rice flour(அரிசி மாவு) – 1 cup
  • Salt
  • Water

  • Roast the ragi flour till it gets the heat.
  • Similarly roast the rice flour till it gets hot.
  • Mix both ragi and rice flour in a bowl.
  • Add little salt as per taste.
  • Add hot water little by little and knead the dough till smooth.
  • Add little oil to make smooth.
  • Fill the dough inside the idiyappam maker.
  • Squeeze in circular motion in steamer.
  • You can also spread little Grated coconut over idiyappam.
  • Steam for 10 minutes.
  • Serve with coconut chutney and enjoy.
