After my marriage my main addictive habit is to have a cup of tea morning and evening. Whatever diet I can follow but I can never stop having my regular tea. Here is a classy version of tea or as we kanyakumarians call it as chaiya. This is masala chai full of aromatic flavors. I swear if you have this tea when damn tired you will feel boosted. Let’s go to the recipe.
- Cardamom (ஏலக்காய்)
- Dried ginger(சுக்கு)
- Tea powder
- Sugar/jaggery syrup
Take all the ingredients.
Crush the things above.
Take milk and boil it. For correct thickness of tea use the proportion 3/4:1/4 milk:water.
Once it gets boiled, add tea powder and then the crushed masala.
Allow it to boil well in simmer.
Then filter it and transfer it to your tea cup.
You can add sugar or jaggery syrup. Jaggery syrup is better than sugar.
Enjoy the hot chai with a snack.
