I have already posted one kind of way of preparing cerelac at home. Here I have made an another version of this. This is more healthy and nutritious than the other one.
- Broken wheat(சம்பா கோதுமை) – 1 cup
- Cashews(முந்திரி) – 50 gm
- Roasted gram(பொறி கடலை/பொட்டுக் கடலை) – 50 gm
- Toor dal(துவரம் பருப்பு )-50 gm
- Channa dal(கடலை பருப்பு) -50 gm
- Palm candy(பனங்கற்கண்டு)-50 gm
Roast all the above ingredients except palm candy.(here I have shown only half the quantity)
Take the roasted ingredient along with palm candy and grind to fine powder.
Take the ground powder in a sieve.
Sieve it to remove any lumps. You can store this powder in an air tight container.
To make cerelac, Take boiled milk or you can also use hot water.
Take 2 to 3 tbspn of ground powder and mix it with hot milk and water.
Mix gently without any lumps allow it to cool. Once it cools down, feed your baby. You can give this to babies of 6 month and more.
I feed this to mukul even now. Nutrition rich food to your little kid.
