1st month:

Good morning folks 😊

Winding up with some recipes yesterday I thought of sharing some basic parenting tips. I want to make each day of your baby a fairy tale.

No mother can forget of the day of delivery.. Just take a moment to think of what all the things happened that day. Each one will have a story to be composed into a novel 📖.

Of course mine was also the one. I can remind of each and every second. From the time I felt my slight pain to the surprise that I am pushed into C-section. After that sorry guys I was anaestheticized. I think so was it only because that I can’t remember what happened inside the red room they gave me a life long back pain to hold my remembrance. S dr the syringe still hurts my back.

But whatever it is by God’s grace I got a prince like a laddu chakadu. I ll post my mukul’s 3rd day pic. I still feel bad that I missed his 1st day 1st min 1st sec of pic he stepped this world.

The first comfort and protection can be given only by the mother. It’s scientifically proven that the mother should hold the baby close to their bare chest. This gives the new born the warmth protection from the one who was his only world for the 10 months.

I know the mental support can be given only by your partner. I think in India nowadays most of the mid wives allow the partner in crime to support the lady in all way. This can actually increase the way to normal delivery.

Girls feel comfortable with their parents i know but that makes them emotionally weak which won’t allow them to put pressure to full.

Now coming to child care,

Never forget to breastfeed the baby within 1 hour of his/her birth.

The first milk known as colostrum is just full and full and full and full of nutrients.

From then breastfeed your baby for every 1 and half an hour to 2 hour intervals.

Please avoid bottle feeding or other infant formulas. (recommended)

I have seen breast pumps in store. Try to avoid that too girls. The more you breastfeed the more you produce milk. It is the privacy time for you and your infant. He becomes more familiar to you. He will get more body touch interactions. He can fall asleep. You can interact with him. You can cuddle with him. And friends avoid taking even formulas prepared in bottles while travelling. Never get ashamed to feed your baby. There is no point in feeling shy. I have seen our gents give more respect for the feeding mom in public. They just react like they are sorry for disturbing us. Thank you boys.

Then the next one diapers

I have seen that the hospital itself asks for diapers to the labor room. I know it’s unavoidable nowadays na??? But please please friends try to minimize the use of diapers to baby. The best choice is to use soft cotton cloths. Very homely cloth is just take a new cotton dhothi of you dad or hus. Tear it into spare pieces. Use it for diapering. But make sure you change frequently. Always take a look if they have wet the cloth. If so change immediately. I am sure a day will fill up a bucket. Use diaper while travelling out with the kutty.

Make sure you hold your baby’s neck properly for the first 3-4 months. Let it get firm to stand of its own.

Avoid using shop made oils for hair and massage. Try using home made pure coconut oil. I will surely be posting you soon the method to prepare coconut oil at home. It moisturizes and nourishes your baby’s skin and hair. It helps in hair growth. It is rich in protein for both skin and hair.

Make a regular habit of providing your baby with soothing massage with this oil by morning 8-9 am. Put your baby in a mat down floor. Let him get his head shaped once he starts turning his head here and there. Massage his hands legs very very very gently and other parts in a circular motion. If you are not that sure get help from your elders ask them the exact way of pampering them.

Make sure you bathe your baby regularly with warm water. For mukul we used the Ramachaveru(Vetiver) in the water he bathes. Put a little amount of vetiver in the water and boil it.It has all antiseptic properties to fight against germs and diseases. The fragrance it has ohh wow!!! will be with your baby the day long.

So as of today I think have covered lot of basic details. Will be back tomorrow with the naming ceremony looties….

If I have written anything against please do forgive me and let me know what wrong I have made with. So I can also know.

Mukul 3 days old pic… First snap…Without flash…First make over too by my sisters.
