Gobi பீஸ் masala

Yesterday evening me and mukul had a fum time of taking green peas from the outer peel. We were like racing who is taking lot. Better to avoid frozen peas. I only buy fresh peas and store it in container.

Cauliflower is a regular vegie found in my fridge.

So thought of combining both and giving a small twist.

So let’s see the recipe details:

Name: Gobi peas masala

Ingredients :

  • Onion-1 medium sized
  • Tomato – 1
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbspn
  • Gobi – 1 cup
  • Fresh green peas- 1 cup
  • Curry leaves
  • Mustard
  • Chana urad dal
  • Besan flour-1 tbspn
  • chilli powder-1 tspn
  • Garam masala – 1 tbspn

Method :

  • Wash green piece and keep aside. Take Gobi florets wash it and then put in hot water for 10 min

  • Slice onions,tomatoes, green chillies, and crush for ginger garlic


  • Heat oil in a pan. And saute Mustard, Chana urad dal, curry leaves, onion green chillies, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes till mushy.

  • Add in peas and Gobi florets. Add chilly powder and garam masala. Add little water to cook peas and Gobi. Add salt as per you taste.

  • Once the water starts boiling, take 2 tbspn of Besan flour and mix it in quarter glass water and pour into the boiling masala.

  • Once it gets thickened slightly. Switch off the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves.

Serve with chapatis, phulka, puri, dosa, hot rice.
