Keerai murukku

Thought of having a healthy snack today. Actually I am hater of spinach but my hubby compels me to eat it somehow so thought of having that in a way I will eat. Even mukul can teeth it easily. So hope you also will give a try for this.

I am sure all will be aware of the health benefits of spinach. It’s the supermarket of vitamins minerals nutrients. Let me know how it came for you.

  • Spinach leaves(keerai) – of your wish
  • Pacharisi flour – 1/2 cup
  • Besan flour – 1/2 cup
  • Corn flour – 3 tbspn
  • Cumin seeds-1 tspn
  • Salt as needed


  1. Take spinach leaves of your taste. Wash them properly and grind them to a thick paste without adding water along with Cumin seeds.
  2. To this add all the flour and also salt knead to a smooth dough.
  3. Heat oil in the pan.
  4. Put the dough in the murukku achu.
  5. Squeeze in a shape of murukku into the hot oil.
  6. Turn the murukku on both sides and make sure the raw smell goes off.
  7. Then drain the murukku into tissue.
